When Kindness Feels Impossible & A Special Guest on the Horizon!

The Plus One Theory Podcast Newsletter

Dear Plus One Community,

Happy Monday! I hope this newsletter finds you ready to take on the week with purpose, positivity, and maybe even one small step forward in your journey. I wanted to take a moment to reflect on The Plus One Theory Podcast’s latest episode and give you a sneak peek into what’s coming next.

This Week’s Episode: When Kindness Feels Impossible

In Monday’s episode, I shared one of the most personal stories of my life, a time when I was faced with heartbreak and betrayal. When my first marriage ended, I had to decide whether I would let the hurt and bitterness consume me or find the strength to keep moving forward.

I poured all my energy into raising my son with love, even as I worked three jobs to make ends meet and heal my own broken heart. Journaling became my lifeline, a way to process the pain and transform it into something meaningful. Those journal entries eventually became the foundation for my first book, From the Piney Woods, where I share the story of raising my son as a single mom and the resilience I found along the way.

But here’s the truth I shared in the episode: kindness isn’t always easy. There are times when the pain and anger feel overwhelming. Yet, when we choose love and grace—even when it feels impossible, we reclaim our energy and create ripples of healing in our lives.

If you’re feeling stuck, this episode is for you. Tune in to hear how the Plus One Theory helped me take small, intentional steps forward, even in the hardest moments.

Next Week’s Episode: The Ripple Effect of Kindness

I’m so excited to share next week’s episode with you because we’ll have a very special guest joining us! Danna, a Wesley Nurse with a background in hospice care, will be sharing her incredible journey of working in a heart-centered career.

Danna’s story is a powerful reminder of how much the Plus One Theory and kindness matter, especially in careers where you’re constantly giving of yourself to help others. She’ll talk about how she finds light in the darkest of places, what fuels her ability to keep going, and how small acts of kindness can ripple outward to create lasting impact.

Here’s what I love about having guests like Danna on the podcast: their stories highlight how the Plus One Theory isn’t just a mindset, it’s a tool that helps us navigate the challenges of life, whether in our personal or professional worlds. Guests like Danna inspire us with their real-life experiences of giving, receiving, and applying kindness in ways that matter most.

Why Guests Like Danna Matter

One of the most important parts of this podcast is sharing stories from people in heart-centered careers, nurses, teachers, therapists, caregivers, and others who spend their lives pouring into others.

These guests remind us that kindness isn’t just an abstract idea; it’s an active choice that can heal, inspire, and uplift not only the people they serve but also themselves. They also show us how essential it is to apply the Plus One Theory to protect their own energy and keep moving forward in demanding roles.

Do you know someone who works in a heart-centered career who would be a great guest on the podcast? I’d love to hear from you! Reply to this email and let me know who inspires you, and maybe we can have them on an upcoming episode.

A Final Thought to Start Your Week

As we explore the ripple effect of kindness in next week’s episode, I challenge you to think about one small act of kindness you can share this week. Remember: the Plus One Theory is about doing one more step and it’s about being more intentional!

Whether it’s sending a kind text, helping a coworker, or forgiving someone who’s hurt you, your kindness has the power to create ripples of positivity that go far beyond what you can see.

Thank you for being a part of this community and for tuning in each week to explore the Plus One Theory. Together, we can create a world that’s just a little kinder, one small step at a time.

Stay tuned for Episode 4, and as always, if you’re enjoying the podcast, please share it with a friend or leave a review, it means the world to me!

With kindness and gratitude,
Pam Dwyer
